sketcher, was acknowledged as the original artist for four of the numerous lithographs which appeared in the London edition of Captain H. Butler Stoney’s A Residence in Tasmania (1862): Frederick Henry Bay , The Derwent and Sandy Bay Road , Old Wharf, Hobarton and Mr Robinson’s House, Hobarton (the former residence of George Augustus Robinson ). Other artists said to have made sketches for the illustrations were Allport (presumably Morton ), I. (i.e. J.) P. Gell , T. Sulman, and Lake Esq. Nothing is known in Tasmania about Sulman, Lake or Wood but perhaps the last was connected with Eulalie and James Wood .
