architect and artist, worked in Sydney in the 1880s. His major architectural work was the design of Anthony Hordern’s large department store (now demolished): 'Near the Haymarket … but on the George Street side, Messrs A. Hordern and Sons are finishing a large palace emporium in which to retail drapery. The designs … were prepared by Mr Albert Bond, who has also under his direction the building of four large produce stores in Sussex Street for Messrs Bray Brothers’.
As the first full-time City Architect for the City of Sydney, Bond also worked on the Sydney Town Hall between 1873 and 1877, when he resigned from his post.
