A watercolour drawing of the Franklyn Hotel in 'Australia’ auctioned as 'Australian School (circa 1855)’ by Christies Australia, Australian and European Paintings 27-28 April 1998, lot 140 (ill.), is inscribed on the backing board: 'Hotel where Grandpa Webb stayed while in Australia. His man and dogs [in the foreground]. Peppermint/ trees in hill back of hotel – Wild turkeys/ taken 70 to 80 years ago./ -1852-1858 – Recorded by Florence M Furlong in the /year 1930 granddaughter of Albion K.P. Webb’.
