Aldo Iacobelli commenced his artistic career in the mid 1980s with the Royal South Australian Society of Arts. He is the recipient of numerous development and project grants and in 1991 he undertook an Australia Council Studio Residency in Barcelona, Spain. Aldo Iacobelli is represented in many public collections including the Art Gallery of South Australia and the Australian National Gallery.

Description

Iacobelli dealt with a series of small images drawn from his recent VACB residency in Barcelona painting the entire wall area of the gallery in the red and yellow horizontal stripes of the Catalan flag this transformed the works and gallery into an autonomous vibrationary unit.
