Stitt trained at RMIT beginning his professional career in 1956. Designing commercials for TV, he later formed an association with director Fred Schepisi for graphic services. He also designed 2 feature-length animated films. Since 1990, he has been in partnership with Paddy Stitt, editor and co-author of Stitt Autobiographics.
