Alex Weisz is the founder of Gold Crest handbags, also known as Goldcrest handbags (also abbreviated GC) Weisz was born in Hungary and arrived in Sydney in the 1950s. His factory was in Surry Hills. Acting as principal designer and adapting to womens' fashions, he sold through David Jones, Myer and other retailers.
