Alfred (A.S.) Hook was a professor of architecture at the University of Sydney from the 1930s to the 1950s and earlier worked with the NSW Government Architect's office. Gold Medallists of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects are required to deliver a lecture named the A.S. Hook Memorial Address.
