Alice Cocks was remembered by the The Kiama Independent, and Shoalhaven Advertiser as “an artist of considerable repute and her exquisite “pen and ink work was known to many, being also proficient in water colours and oils. As a judge in the art sections she very often officiated at district and other shows.”
The daughter of a former mayor of Kiama, Cocks exhibited in the Fine Arts section in local agricultural shows in the Illawarra region during the early years of the twentieth century.
