Amanda Franklin is from the Kokatha people of South Australia. She works in administration for Kuju Aboriginal Arts and Crafts in Port Lincoln. It was through this association that she was able to exhibit her paintings in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Our Mob exhibitions at the Adelaide Festival Centre. As an arts worker at Kuju Franklin assisted in the staging of the Coast to Coast exhibition at the Nautilus Theatre Galleries in Port Lincoln. Coast to Coast showed the works of Aboriginal artists from the west coast of South Australia. Franklin officially opened the exhibition in February 2008.
