sketcher and lithographer, was in charge of the litho-room in the Melbourne Department of Crown Lands in 1860 when John Osborne was working there. Pen-and-ink drawings by Robertson were included in the 1866 Melbourne Intercolonial Exhibition, and a watercolour view, Boroondara (Looking East) , was shown at the 1880 Melbourne International Exhibition. In 1880 Andrew Robertson presented his watercolour view of Melbourne from the Flagstaff Hill, 1853 to the Victorian National Collections (LT) together with a key. Careful and topographical but lifeless and unsophisticated, it may have been reworked from earlier sketches and indicate the year he came to Victoria.
