Alder’s painting of 17 birds is catalogue number 17 in this exhibition.
Alder displayed “The monarch of the peak” here in August 1898.
Alder displayed two works here, “The heron’s home” (cat. 95; price 10 pounds) and “Homeward laddie” (cat. 130; price 20 pounds)
“Lincoln sheep, homeward laddie” exhibited here, priced at 30 pounds. Won the “original oil colour painting” prize.
Alder displayed a picture in their front window, and in May 1895, exhibited several more works. All were available for sale.
