Weaver who learnt the basics of the discipline while on holiday with her mother’s family in Scandinavia. She wove blended silks into beach bags and cushion covers for sale.
Between 1947 and 1953 Colbatch exhibited in the King Edward Hotel with a number of weavers who worked in the ambit of interior designer, Maria Dent. Others included Norma Rolland, Mrs Robinson who lived in Austen Street, Subiaco, Western Australia and wove rag rugs during the war, Dulcie Lamb, Hilda Stephens and Miss Blythe.
