Commercial artist, magazine and advertisement illustrator at West Australian Newspapers. Snook was born in Melbourne where he studied under George Bell and then at the Fox Art Academy. He spent five years of the war in the Royal Australian Air Force. Snook joined West Australian Newspapers in 1948 and became a member of the Group of six who exhibited together in Newspaper House Gallery in the 1950s. The group included Clem Ambler, Stewart Cownie, Paul Rigby, Athol Snook and Fred Harffey. He undertook further art studies in the United Kingdom. It is not known if he returned to Western Australia.
