His delicate sgraffito designs and X-ray style imagery, seen for example in an earthenware coffee set 1948 (BFAG) and a small bowl 1949, platter 1953 and rectangular dish 1953 (all Shepparton AG), derived from Arnhem Land bark paintings by the Gadadju people (reproduced Baddeley p.7).
