sketcher, pastoralist and magistrate, was the fifth son of Phillip Parker King and Harriet, née Lethbridge. His sketchbook (Mitchell Library) contains coastal and landscape scenes, mostly of New Zealand, drawn between 1850 and 1899. A watercolour dated July 1859 is captioned: 'My camp at the Long Waterhole. Queensland. Jondaryan’. Some views are initialled 'R.L.K.’ (his brother Robert ) and one pencil seascape is annotated 'Lesson by Conrad Martens [q.v.] 1851’.
