Charles Phillips was a sketcher who made several sketches in Queensland and Victoria in about 1860 depicting life on cattle stations.

Getting in Horses from the Home Paddock and Taking Fat Cattle from the Camp were drawn at Rosedale, Victoria, while Yarding the Mob , Sighting a Mob of Scrubbers – Preparing for a Brush with Them and Rounded Up. Camping for Dinner are set in Queensland. All are now in the La Trobe Library.
