professional photographer, worked in partnership with Charles H. Tullett at 108 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, in 1863, being listed in the Melbourne Directory as Rysted. The following year, Charles G. Reysted had his own photographic studio next door, at 110 Elizabeth Street, where he remained until at least 1866. In 1869 Charles Raystead, clearly the same man, was listed as a photographer of 146 Swan Street, Richmond, a Melbourne suburb.
