Painter, illustrator and illuminator, contributed drawings to the Australian Graphic , e.g. '“The Springs”, Mount Wellington, Tasmania’, 23 February 1884, 56. He illustrated Garnet Walsh’s Victoria in 1880 (Melbourne: George Robertson, 1880) with many text engravings and 11 full-page engravings, lots apparently of the Melbourne International Exhibition.

'Charles Turner, Artist, Victoria Arcade, Sydney’, signed an illumination testimonial presented to Eadith Walker in 1893 in thanks for (and with visual images of) the Thomas Walker Hospital, designed by John Sulman. Owned by Perpetual Trustees, the testimonial was included in the MoS exhibition, Sydney by Ferry 2001.
