Forbes works as an architect and interior designer. Initially employed by Harry Seidler and Associates in 1964, he later formed a partnership with Audrey Borkenhagen (ca.1968) and executed a number of hotel, restaurant and airport interiors in Australia. In addition to his design work, Forbes was well-regarded for his drawing abilities.
