David Serisier (b.1958, Orange) attended the University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Arts (English and Australian Literature) 1979. This was followed by a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts) at the City Art Institute, Sydney from 1984-87, and post-graduate studies in painting at the New York Studio School from 1988-92. In 2013, Serisier was awarded a PhD (Fine Arts) at the University of New South Wales College of Fine Arts.
