Came from Balgo to live in Papunya. First painted for Papunya Tula Artists in the late 1980s, producing paintings sporadically until his death in June 1992.

A Pintupi speaker whose country was south-west of Mt Webb, David Yupupu came from Balgo to live in Papunya. His 'fused dotting’ technique showed a strong Balgo influence. He first painted for Papunya Tula Artists in the late 1980s and produced paintings sporadically until his death in 1992.
