Agnew was one of the principals of Tinker Tailor Interiors Pty Ltd (est. ca.1955), a group (resembling a Collective) based in Hunters Hill NSW, a Sydney suburb, that sought to lease and restore 19th century homes for preservation. She was also involved in an early exhibition of Australian furniture ca.1962. She is also said to have maintained a retail shop in the Commonweal Club, Gowings Bldg, Sydney selling Scottish tartans.
