Dircksey Constance Cowan b. 1880

Dircksey Constance Cowan was born in 1880. She was an amateur artist. Cowan's mother was Edith Cowan - noted feminist and the first woman parliamentarian in Australia. She was a founding member of the Western Australian Historical Society in 1926. Cowan exhibited her work in the 1900 'Paris Exposition' and at the 'Glasgow International Exhibition' in 1902.
