Wilkinson’s watercolour, The Ferry, Melbourne (La Trobe Library), showing Prince’s Bridge and the Yarra River. In 1854 Dr Henry Wilkinson was surgeon-superintendent aboard the migrant ship Tudor travelling from England to Sydney where he remained, painting Sydney Heads from Botany Bay (watercolour, Mitchell library [ML]) in November 1855.
