illustrator, was the sister-in-law of Constance Roth . Edith’s husband, Robert Kingdon Ellis, was a doctor in the UK and South Africa. She illustrated H. Ling Roth’s book on Tasmania, presumably from photographs in London. Lots of other Roths did. Edith later went to South Africa like many of the others, including Constance (with her lover). According to Barrie Reynolds, Edith Roth is supposed to have ended up in the US painting portraits of film stars.
