Embroiderer, embroidered signature cloths at Pine Creek, in 1913 and 1923. A longtime Northern Territory resident, she was aged 99 in 2001 when the two cloths featured in the Museums and Art Galleries of the Northern Territory exhibition, managed by Mickey Dewar and researched by historian Barbara James and genealogist Vern O’Brien, Threads of History: the embroidered record (25 May-26 August 2001), along with an anonymous cloth of 1901. Eileen Fitzer died in the Salvation Army Nursing home in Darwin on the day the exhibition was taken down. While the exhibition was on Fritha Neilsen from Tasmania donated a cloth embroidered in Darwin in 1940 by her mother, Nancy Mackie, and it was incorporated into the show.
