Photographer, lawyer and Supreme Court Judge, Docker's articles on photography were published widely. He also developed an original method of dry-plate photography and of mounting stereographs, which was his speciality. He did much to support people's access to the art, including helping to establish the Amateur Photographic Society of New South Wales.
