Graphic designer and commercial artist Flora Bobone had been a student at Perth Technical College in the late 1930s. After World War II she worked for Aherns Department Store drawing black and white illustrations for their advertisements, which were pitched for the plate-making equipment at the West Australian or the Sunday Times.
