caricaturist, illustrator and commercial artist, who signs work “K”, has been an illustrator in many styles and media since 1980 although probably best known for his powerful caricatures, which rarely flatter the subjects. He drew a caricature of the newsreader Anne Fullwood naked for Australian Penthouse in May 1993, which Fullwood tried to have withdrawn from sale. He was living at Bondi in 1983.
Kantor’s cover of Rae’s Cartoonists of Australia (1983) shows a cartoonist, evidently a self-portrait, drawing a caricature of a fellow cartoonist (with bow tie and pipe) in a room with comic covers by colleagues pinned on the walls (e.g. Ginger Meggs, Fatty Finn , Captain Justice , St Pips , Air Hawke , etc.)
