Description

Visiting artist spent many hours writing text on the gallery wall and floor with vivid blue pastel, and pouring an island of powder-pigment of the same intense hue in creating this installation work. The image on the exhibition invitation was the word 'perish’ written across the skin over the artist’s shoulder blade.

A touring exhibition from 24hr Art, Northern Territory, was a direct response by Ehmann and Lyn Voevodin to natural rhythms such as tides, seasons, phases of the moon and the behaviour of other animals, exploring the form and types of energy produced in the human body.
