Frederick (Fred) Griffiths was a sketcher and army lieutenant. A pencil drawing he produced in 1840 is at the Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, Sydney.

sketcher and army lieutenant, drew a pencil view of Merston Cottage in 1840 (Mitchell Library). The house appears to have been in Hobart Town.
