Following his occupation as a school teacher at Crystal Brook in South Australia’s north, George Arnold Ball embarked on a career as a photographer. He was based first at Port Pirie as a partner in the firm Ball & Fegan and was later associated with Ball & Co. Ball moved to Adelaide during the 1930s where he managed a photographic studio.
