Pintupi artist who painted for Papunya Tula Artists from the late 1980s and lived at Kintore (NT).

Born c.1938, George Tjapanangka spent his childhood in the area around Lake Mackay, before his family had contact with Europeans. His country Marpurri was close to its southern shore. George later lived at Kintore and began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in the ’80s.
