Born in 1954, Graeme Walker lived at Mallanganee and Coombell until he was twelve. After years in Sydney and the Windsor area he returned to Casino in 1995. He worked and trained at Jambama Art Shed, a Community Development Employment Project, in Casino since 2007. Graeme’s work has appeared in group exhibitions including at Freemans Reach Primary School, Windsor, 1994; The Multi-Cultural Festival, Mallanganee, 1995; the 'Australia Day Indigenous Art Exhibition’, CMA Village, Casino, 2008; 'Branching Out’, Northern Rivers Community Gallery, Ballina, 2008; 'Gumbo Dreaming’, Roxy Gallery, Kyogle, 2007; an exhibition at Platypus Gallery, Casino, 2007; and the 'Tea Tree Art Prize’, Coraki, 2007. In the late 1990s he taught art at Casino TAFE. His painted images combined with his signwriting have been used for Aboriginal Medical Service educational programs and promotional banners.
