The 1937 organisation of Sydney’s Modern Architecture Research Society (MARS) promoted the development of modern architecture. The principal founders of the Australian MARS group were Arthur Baldwinson, K. P. Goble, Walter Bunning and Morton Herman. The NSW organisation distributed a controversial newsletter ANGLE, participated in wireless talks, published a prescriptive booklet "The Post-War Home".
