World Record Club

The World Record Club (WRC) was founded ca.1956 in Britain as a subscription service for music (Jazz, Classical, etc). Opening a branch in Melbourne in 1957, the WRC commissioned album covers from Australian designers including Geoff Digby, John Copeland, Max Robinson and others including photographer Athol Smith. Some 3000+ were designed locally.
