Also known as
Potters' Society of N.S.W.,
Potters' Society of Australia,
The Australian Ceramics Association
The Potters' Society of New South Wales was founded in 1956 by Mollie Douglas, Ivan Englund, Ivan McMeekin and Peter Rushforth. In June, 1967, the name was changed to the Potters' Society of Australia to reflect the increasingly national nature of its activities. The name was changed again in February, 2006, to The Australian Ceramics Association to reflect more fully the scope of practice of its members.
