sketcher, drew a pencil and watercolour sketch of a woman and child (photograph in the Mitchell Library), thought to be members of the family of the Sydney solicitor Randolph Want , possibly his wife, Harriette, née Lister, whom he had married in 1839, and one of their nine children. The dress of the sitters indicates that the portrait was painted about 1850, perhaps by Harriette Want herself.
