James Barnet exhibited a crayon drawing at the NSW Academy of Art in 1880. He is most likely the son of the colonial architect of the same name.

exhibited at the ninth annual meeting of the NSW Academy of Art: “Hon. Mention: James Barnet – Studies from cast, Fruits – crayons”.

Presumably the Colonial Architect James Barnet’s son, born in 1865. Barnet’s daughters Miss A. ( Amy ), Louisa ( Lilia ?) and Rosa Barnet also exhibited with the Academy.
