He began painting in Balgo and painted for Papunya Tula Artists after coming to live in Kiwirrkura.

Born in the late 1940s out Yinmi way, which is south of Kiwirrkura midway to Jupiter Well, deep in Pintupi country. He began painting in Balgo, possibly influenced by the visits there of Anatjari Tjampitjinpa , and began painting for Papunya Tula Artists after coming to live in Kiwirrkura.
