Peterson began his film career as an art student in Hobart, later studying at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. He worked with such figures as Wim Wenders Steven Best,Tom Zubrycki and Sean O'Brien. Best known as a documentary film-maker with 40+ films/TV features to his credit.
