'Jack' Sommers married Flora 'Vivienne' Francis. Joined AIF in 1914, and served in the Middle East. He divorced Flora in 1920 and in 1922 married Eirene Browne. Jack and Eirene's daughter Tess van Sommers was born in 1919. In 1931 he had TB and with a horse caravan he and his daughter set out on the road and became 'wanderers' in the country areas, until Jack's death from TB in 1934.
