John Green b. c.1811

Trade engraver and printer, originally from Cork, Ireland, then a resident of Melbourne. Green printed some of the earliest views of Melbourne from lithographs by G.A. Gilbert and Josephy Pittman in 1846. As a professional printer and engraver he advertised in 1840 that he could engraved plates for coffins and dog-collars in two hours.
