Dr John James b. 1931

John James was a Melbourne and Sydney architect and scholar. His most notable building was the Readers Digest headquarters in Surry Hills, Sydney (1967). After 1965, he became an international expert on medieval European architecture, especially the detailed design and construction of Chartres Cathedral in France.
