John Truscott b. 1 January 1936

  • Designer (Theatre / Film Designer)
Truscott was an actor and theatre designer whose career began in the 1950s in Melbourne. His designs for a stage "Camelot" brought him international attention; he later designed the film version which won two Oscars. After 1980, he designed the interiors for the Victorian Arts Centre and took on other major design commissions such as World Expo '88, South Bank project, Brisbane and the Spoleto Festival.
