Joseph Cattermole is a member of the Adjahdura Aboriginal Coastal Artists in Point Pearce, South Australia. He has exhibited in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Our Mob exhibitions at the Adelaide Festival Centre. In 2006 he was awarded 2nd Prize in the Indigenous Category of the Cheetham Salt Yorke Peninsula Art Exhibition Awards held in the Ardrossan Town Hall, in Ardrossan, South Australia.
