Jørn Utzon

Jørn Oberg Utzon (1918-2008) was a Danish architect who is best known for designing the Sydney Opera House (1957 competition scheme, completed by others after his departure from the project in 1966). He also designed the Bagsvaerd Church in Denmark and the National Assembly Building in Kuwait. He won the Pritzker Architecture Prize and Alvar Aalto Medal.
