Newton ("Alice Springs") is a photographer specialising in fashion and portraiture, especially celebrity portraits. She began her career in 1970, taking over a commission for Gitane cigarettes from her photographer husband Helmut Newton. Often working for magazines, her images include Lou Lou de la Falaise (1979), Catherine Deneuve (1984), Nicole Kidman (1988) and many others.
