Currently (since late 2023) Director of Curatorial and Engagement at the planned National Aboriginal Art Gallery, Kelli Cole was previously Senior First Nations Curator and Curator of Special Projects at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, where she curated many exhibitions during her 16-year tenure: e.g. National Indigenous Art Triennials in 2007, 2012, 2017, 2022 (Ceremony), “Alive and Spirited” (children’s exhibition, 2014-15), “Body Language” (11 May 2019 to 9 February 2020), “Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now” (Part 1 from 14 November 2020 to 4 July 2021 and Part 2 from July to January 26, 2022), “Emily Kam Kngwarray” (Co-curator with Hetti Perkins, 2 December 2023 – 28 April 2024), .
