Kelly Roach of the Gamilaraay people was born and raised in Moree in north west NSW. Roach completed her Higher School Certificate in 1990 at the Moree Technology High School and began exhibiting her paintings the following year at Moree Plains Regional Gallery. A painter of acrylic on canvas, Roach and has also painted and carved emu eggs.

Roach has participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions since 2001 and was a finalist in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize. In 2005 and 2006 her work was included in the Sydney Affordable Art Show and in June 2006 Roach was the artist-in-residence at Gosford Regional Gallery on the NSW Central Coast.
